Lexx Valdez

Graphic Designer | Creative Director

Alexandra “Lexx” Valdez is a Xicana creative who believes in collective growth through a transformative and sustainable creative process.

Raised in the small agricultural town of Guadalupe, California, Lexx earned her BFA in Graphic Design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco (2004-2009) and began her professional career in the Bay Area (2009-2015).

In 2016, Lexx’s work was featured at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) in an exhibition entitled Remezcla Graphica/Graphic Remix (September 16, 2016–January 8, 2017), which reflected the Latinx and Chicano experience.

Lexx’s style can be characterized by its photo-collage aesthetic and the bold colors that she uses to create vibrantly-illustrated worlds that aim to uplift ancestral knowledge.

From August 2015 – August 2017, Lexx was the Creative Director at Taskforce (TF), a Culver City-based creative agency, working with clients that included The California Endowment, Rock The Vote, The Women’s March DC/LA, and The Nature Conservancy to name a few.

Lexx is currently an independent creative consultant based in Los Angeles, where her clients include foundations, organizations, and individuals creating impactful change around the world.

In 2018, Lexx and her business partner Tomas Alvarez, launched Idea2Form(I2F): A design agency for social impact, where they will collaborate with change makers to bring their ideas to form and elevate their visibility so they’re easy to connect with and impossible to ignore. Without purposeful design, great ideas fall flat. I2F will bring empathy, creativity and a commitment to social justice to their work.
